Brittney Yvette Griner is a professional basketball player for the Atlanta Dream. She plays in the center position and is considered the defensive anchor for her team. She has won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice in 2014 and 2015), and she was on the All-Defensive First Team three times, and the Second Team four times. Brittney Griner was drafted 1st overall in the 2013 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury and has been with them her whole career.

Griner is a 10-time WNBA All-Star and won a WNBA Championship in 2014. She is a two-time scoring champion, first in 2017 and the other in 2019.
