Born on June 16, 2003, Shayeann Day-Wilson is a professional women's college basketball player who plays as a point guard for Louisiana State University (LSU). Wilson started her basketball career when she was in her school at Crestwood Prep. in Toronto, Canada. Wilson inspired her high school squad to back-to-back OSBA High School Championships. After finishing high school, Wilson began her collegiate career as she enrolled in Duke University, where she played for her first two college years, including freshman and sophomore years.

As a freshman at Duke, the Canadian Wilson had one of the best years as a freshman as she won ACC Freshman of the Year, becoming the fifth Duke to do so. She also made it to the All-ACC Freshman Team. As a freshman there, she averaged a team-high 12.7 points and 3.7 dimes a game to go along with 1.2 steals per game. In her sophomore year, Wilson played a total of 33 games and averaged 24.3 minutes per game as she recorded a stat line of 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. After her two seasons at Duke, the point guard transferred to Miami University for her junior year, where she played for the Miami Hurricanes women's basketball team and wore the number 30 jersey. In her final college year, she transferred to LSU and is currently playing for the LSU Tigers.
