Shayeann Day-Wilson is a 5 feet 6 inch tall professional women's basketball player who plays college basketball for the University of Louisiana( LSU). Wilson’s basketball journey has been nothing short of phenomenal. After being born and brought up in Canada, Wilson attended Crestwood Prep. High school in Toronto, Canada. From the early ages, she showed signs of basketball brilliance as she averaged 17.3 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in her junior year and helped her high school win consecutive Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) High School Championships. She was also honored as the 2019 and 2020 Chris Smalling's Classic MVP. (as per her college profile)

After finishing High School, Wilson attended Duke University and played for their college basketball team. As a freshman at Duke, the Toronto-born Wilson had one of the best Freshman years in history, averaging a team-high 12.7 points and 3.7 assists to go along with 3 rebounds. Wilson became just the fifth Duke women's player to earn the ACC Freshman of the Year award in 2021-22 and also made the All-ACC Freshman team. In her sophomore year, Wilson averaged 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds while playing 24.3 minutes per game. After two years at Duke University, Wilson transferred to the University of Miami and played for their college basketball women's team, the Miami Hurricanes. In her junior year there, Wilson played 31 games, starting 25 of those, and averaged 11.9 points per game while shooting 41.4% from the field. In her senior year, Wilson again transferred to Louisiana State University and played for their Women's basketball team as she looks to enter the 2025 WNBA draft as one of the leading prospects.
