Stefanie Dolson is a veteran center, playing for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA as of 2024. Dolson’s basketball journey began in high school at Minisink Valley High School in Slate Hill, New York, where she was a standout athlete in both volleyball and basketball. Eventually, Dolson chose to focus on basketball, and she finished her high school career with a terrific 1,951 points and 1,607 rebounds. She was also named a McDonald's High School All-American. Following her successful high school career, Dolson attended the University of Connecticut. During her four years playing for the UConn Huskies, she helped lead the team to an unbelievable 144–11 win-loss record, which included four consecutive Final Four appearances. Her leadership and two-way impact were crucial in UConn’s back-to-back national championships in 2013 and 2014. The 2013-14 season was particularly memorable, as UConn led by senior-year Dolson finished with a perfect 40-0 record.

In the 2014 WNBA Draft, Dolson was selected sixth overall by the Washington Mystics. Adding to the excitement, her UConn teammate Bria Hartley was drafted right after her by the Seattle Storm and then traded to the Mystics, reuniting the UConn duo in Washington. Since then, Dolson has enjoyed a long and successful professional career, both in the WNBA and internationally.
