Bhupendra Jaiswal, the father of Yashaswi Jaiswal, is a small shopkeeper at Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. During his youth, he played cricket for local clubs in Bhadohi. He was an all-rounder and nicknamed ‘Zahar Khan’ due to his unplayable swinging deliveries.
Bhupendra Jaiswal is married to Kanchan Jaiswal and has four children, two sons and two daughters. His eldest son, Tejasvi Jaiswal, aged 25, is pursuing his career as a cricketer in Delhi. He lives in a one-story building with his wife and youngest daughter. Out of his two daughters, the elder one is married, while the other is a teacher.

However, due to the lack of mentors and poor financial conditions, his talents were confined to Bhadohi.

Bhupendra Jaiswal has always supported his son in his pursuit of becoming a cricketer. During Yashaswi’s early days at home, his father made a small pitch in front of the house and also installed lights nearby so that he could train till late at night. At the age of nine, Yashaswi was taken to Mumbai by his father to practice at Azad Maidan.
After Yashaswi’s heroics in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2020, India still failed to lift the trophy. In an interview with ANI, Bhupendra said:
“Yashaswi played well, but I would have been happier if India had won the U19 World Cup. It was an experience. I want him to play better in the future and make the country proud ”.
Also, after Yashaswi was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL auctions, Bhupendra said, "His hard work is paying off. I hope that he will perform well in the IPL and get a chance in the Indian side. I am extremely happy,” to ANI. When asked about how he feels about the hefty price his son was bought for, Bhupendra said, "It is not about money. It is about the hard work that he has done. He is making us proud, and I pray to God that he will do well in the upcoming U-19 World Cup and bring the coveted trophy to the country,” to ANI.
