About 2019 Chengdu Open
Chengdu Open is a men’s professional tennis tournament played annually on hard outdoor courts. Founded in 2016, the competition is a part of the ATP World Tour in replacement of the ATP Malaysian Open event. The tournament is a ATP World Tour 250 Series event.
About
The 2019 Chengdu Open will start from 23 to 29 September 2019. It will be hosted in Chengdu, China. The venue in Chengdu boasts a state of the art facility with a centre court capacity of 6,000, two additional show courts with 2,000 seats each, 20 hard courts and 12 indoor courts also add to the tally.
2017 Chengdu Open Champions
Uzbek player Denis Istomin who is ranked 91 in the world defeated Albert Ramos-Viñolas of Spain 6–7(4–7), 7–6(7–3), 6–3 to win the Men’s Singles title in 2017.
In Men’s Doubles, Jonathan Erlich and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi defeated Marcus Daniell and Marcelo Demoliner to win the 2017 edition title.
2018 Chengdu Open Players
Austrian player Dominic Thiem has confirmed his participation in the Chengdu Open. He will be playing to win the competition after his wins in the Lyon and Buenos Aires.
Kyle Edmund of Britain is one of the top ranked English players in the ATP Rankings. He has confirmed that he will be playing in the competition, given his current form it is likely for him to go through the tournament undefeated.
