Moselle Open is an annual professional tennis tournament conducted on indoor hard courts. It has been a part of the ATP World Tour 250 series since 2003.
The tournament is a part of the four French events of the ATP's 250 series namely, Open 13, Open Sud de France and Open de Nice Côte d'Azur.
The tournament has been huge success and famous players like three time champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have been a part of it.
The 2018 Moselle Open tournament will hosted in the city Metz, France. The event will be held from 17 to 23 September 2018.
The Moselle Open will offer €501,345 as prize money and the total financial commitment for the tournament is €561,345.
Reputed and multinational companies like BNP Paribas, Grand Eastern Region and City of Metz are some of the official partners of the tournament.
2017 Moselle Open Champions
ATP rank 39, Peter Gojowczyk of Germany defeated Benoît Paire of France who is ranked 52, in sets 7–5, 6–2 to claim the men’s singles title of Moselle Open 2017.
In the men’s doubles, French duo Julien Benneteau and Édouard Roger-Vasselin defeated Wesley Koolhof and Artem Sitak 7-5, 6-3 in finals.
2018 Moselle Open Favorites
David Goffin of Belgium will be participating in this year’s competition. He is ranked 11 in the world and is one of the strongest contestants going into the tournament.
Gilles Simon of France is in the tournament as well. The French player has already won Moselle Open in 2010 and 2013 and will be looking to repeat it once again this year.
Richard Gasquet, another French player, ranked 28th in the world is also another strong contender to win the competition.
