Jiri Prochazka is an acclaimed professional mixed martial artist known for his aggressive fighting style. An experienced fighter, who has an experience of over a decade in the sport, Jiri Prochazka made his professional mixed martial arts debut on April 7, 2012, against Stanislav Futera at GCF 10: Battle in The Cage. He knocked Futera cold in the first round to start his career with a dominant win.

After making his professional debut, Jiri Prochazka competed in various professional mixed martial arts promotions. After compiling an impressive record of 26 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw, Jiri Prochazka joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He made his promotional debut for the promotion on July 12, 2020, against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 251. Prochazka defeated him via a second-round knockout winning the fight and getting awarded with a Performance of the Night bonus for his performance. Prochazka kept winning fights in the UFC and eventually earned a title shot for the UFC light heavyweight championship against Glover Teixeira on June 12, 2022. Prochazka defeated him by a fifth-round submission and became the new undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion. Jiri Prochazka however, was forced to vacate his title due to an injury. He tried to win it back in a failed campaign against Alex Pereira at UFC 295 and UFC 303, Prochazka will now take on Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 on January 18, 2025.
