Four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Matthew Judon was born on August 15, 1992, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the fifth round (146th pick) of the 2016 NFL Draft. Judon failed to start a game in his rookie year while being promoted in his second year. He started 12 games appearing in 16 of the 2017 regular season. Judon recorded 61 combined and 51 solo tackles which is still his career-high numbers in eight seasons in the NFL. After spending five years with the Ravens, Judon signed with the New England Patriots in 2021. He only failed to start three out of the 34 games for the Patriots in his first two seasons there. Judon has also been named to the Pro Bowl for four consecutive seasons (2019-2022).

Judon went through a torn lower bicep in the 2023 season being on the injury reserve most of the season. In his 114 appearances in the NFL over eight years, Judon averages 3.2 tackles per game. Judon attended West Bloomfield High School in Michigan playing under head coach Jim Thomas. He committed to the Grand Valley State University in 2010. Being redshirted for the first season, Judon appeared in the final seven games of the 2011 season. He recorded 54 solo tackles in 26 games in his final two seasons in college.
