Tímea Babos: A Brief Biography

Tímea Babos is a professional Hungarian tennis player whose highest WTA singles profile ranking is world number 59 which she attained on 20 August 2012. Babos has ten singles and ten doubles titles in his career statistics. In May 2010, Babos won the 2010 French Open girls\' doubles event with Sloane Stephens without losing a single set the entire tournament. Babos and Stephens won their second grand slam title two months later in July, in the 2010 Wimbledon Championships. She participated in the 2010 Youth Olympics and took home a bronze medal in doubles along with her partner. She won another doubles with Stephens in the 2010 US Open, becoming the first doubles team to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open in the same year. Babos won her 6th ITF title at a $25,000 tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan and followed it up with another title, her seventh, at a $25,000 tournament in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Babos then continued to her home country at the 2011 Budapest Grand Prix where she won her first WTA tour main draw match. She then won her biggest title to date in a $50,000 tournament in Saguenay, Canada. Her ninth ITF title victory was in Helsinki, Finland. She won her first WTA title at the 2012 Monterrey Open.
