The Russian is a former World No. 1 in juniors, and also won the Wimbledon girls’ singles title in 2016. After an unfortunate battle with injuries, Potapova is stringing some good results in 2024. Born on March 30, 2001 in Saratov, Russia, Anastasia Potapova started playing tennis at a young age after being influenced by her grandmother. The 22-year-old turned pro as a young teenager in 2016. Potapova made three finals before winning her first title, and was a constant among the Russian contenders during every tournament.
