He was 19 years, four months, and six days old when he won the 2022 US Open. He became the youngest player to claim the No. 1 spot for twenty weeks. Alcaraz finished the last season by reaching the semifinals of the 2023 ATP Finals, where Novak Djokovic defeated him. Carlos Alcaraz has won 13 singles titles including five ATP Masters 1000 titles, and two grand slam titles (2022 US Open, and the 2023 Wimbledon). In the 2022 US Open, Alcaraz defeated world No. 5 Casper Ruud and became the youngest world No. 1 in history. He made a remarkable comeback after losing the second set and defeated Ruud by 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 in the final. At the 2023 Wimbledon, he defeated Novak Djokovic to claim his second major title.

Alcaraz won his first ATP title in July 2021, defeating Richard Gasquet and winning the 2021 Croatia Open. He won his second title in 2022 at ATP 500 Rio, defeating Diego Schwartzman 6-4, 6-2 in the final.

To reach the finals of the 2023 Wimbledon, Alcaraz defeated Jeremy Chardy, Holger Rune, Daniil Medvedev, Nicolas Jarry, Alexander Muller, and Matteo Berrettini.

His 13th ATP singles title came at the 2024 Indian Wells Open, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final. That was the fifth Masters 1000 title of his career.
