NXT Battleground 2025 Stadium
NXT Battleground 2025 will be held at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Known in the past as the USF Sun Dome, the venue was opened in 1980 and has a seating capacity exceeding 10,000. Over the decades, it has been home to numerous events, ranging from concerts and UFC contests to several WWE pay-per-views, including Hell in a Cell 2021 and the 1995 Royal Rumble. It also holds historical significance as the site of the very first Saturday Night’s Main Event in 1985.
NXT Battleground History
The Battleground was originally launched by WWE in 2013. Back then, it served as a recurring pay-per-view wrestling event. While the first edition was held in October, the event was shifted to July starting in 2014 and continued annually until 2017. In 2023, Battleground made a comeback, this time as part of NXT, WWE’s developmental division, and has since been hosted under that banner.
