Jonathan Tanner Miller, born March 14, 1993, is an American forward and alternate captain for the Vancouver Canucks in National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the New York Rangers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Miller, selected in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, began his professional career with the Rangers before being traded to the Lightning in 2018 and then to the Canucks in 2019. He has since become a cornerstone player for the Canucks, achieving career milestones and earning an NHL All-Star selection in 2024.

Internationally, Miller has represented the United States in international play, winning gold at the 2011 IIHF World U18 Championship, the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, and the 2010 World U-17 Hockey Challenge. He also appeared at the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and the 2016 World Cup of Hockey as part of Team North America.

Where does J.T. Miller lives?

J.T. Miller lives in West Vancouver, on the North Shore, which is a bit of a departure from where many of his teammates choose to reside, closer to downtown Vancouver and Rogers Arena. He appreciates the quieter, more peaceful environment that West Vancouver offers, likening it to a feeling more reminiscent of home.

J.T. Miller shared some personal insights during an in-depth interview on The Cam and Strick Podcast, revealing aspects of his life both on and off the ice that resonate with fans and teammates alike.

In the interview, J.T. Miller compared Vancouver to New York City, highlighting the similarities but also the difference in population, saying it’s "kind of similar, just a lot less people." On living in Canada and playing for a Canadian team, he expressed a positive sentiment, stating, "I like playing in Canada. Definitely, it’s a passionate fan base."

Regarding his choice to live in West Vancouver, Miller mentioned, "I can [have downtime], for sure. I live in West Vancouver, so I’m on the North Shore and I’m the only guy over there. It reminds me of home a little more. It’s peaceful, it’s quiet." He also commented on the nature of interactions in West Vancouver, noting the community's demeanor as, "The people that live over there, it’s an older crowd, it’s not like downtown. They’re very respectful, it’s more of a ‘nice game’ or ‘nice turnover’ or whatever the hell they want to say. But it’s quick and to the point."

J.T. Miller's Other Houses

J.T. Miller also maintains a residence in Pittsburgh, where he spends the offseason with his family. While Miller openly discusses his life in West Vancouver during the hockey season, he has also indicated Pittsburgh as his offseason retreat, suggesting a dual-residence approach that balances professional commitments in Vancouver with personal and family time in Pittsburgh. However, details about Miller's Pittsburgh home, or any other properties he might own, remain private.
