Jiri Kulich, born April 14, 2004, is a Czech professional ice hockey center playing for the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL (as of January 2025). Drafted 28th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Kulich began his professional career with HC Energie Karlovy Vary in the Czech Extraliga, debuting during the 2020–21 season. The following year, he recorded nine goals and five assists in 49 games.

Kulich moved to North America in 2022, signing a three-year entry-level contract with the Sabres. He made his NHL debut on November 25, 2023, against the New Jersey Devils. Internationally, Kulich has represented Czechia (formerly the Czech Republic), earning MVP honors at the 2022 IIHF U18 Championships.

Jiri Kulich early life

Jiri Kulich began his hockey journey in Czechia. He played for Piráti Chomutov's youth teams, competing in various junior leagues. During the 2017-18 season, he joined the U16 team, where he contributed 10 points in 22 games. The following year, Kulich scored 48 points in 35 games with the U16 squad. His progress continued in the U17 and U20 levels.
