Mika Zibanejad is a Swedish professional ice hockey center in the NHL and is currently serving as an alternative captain for the New York Rangers. He began his NHL career with the Ottawa Senators as a sixth overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.


After his selection by the Ottawa Senators, Mika joined them for the 2011-2012 season. However, in this season, he played only 9 games with the Senators, scoring just one point. Later, he went back to Djurgårdens IF in Sweden for a brief time. Due to NHL Lockout, Mika spent the 2012-2013 season with Binghamton Senators, an affiliated team of Senators in the AHL.
