Ryan O'Reilly is a Canadian ice hockey professional player and alternate captain for the Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on February 7, 1991, he was selected 33rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.

He was traded to the Buffalo Sabres in 2015 after spending six seasons with the Avalanche. However, after just three seasons with the Sabres, he joined the St. Louis Blues in 2018. His debut season with the Blues turned out to be a memorable one as he won the Stanley Cup that season while also receiving the Frank J. Selke and Conn Smythe Trophies for his performances. Additionally, O’Reilly was also named to the All-Star game that year.

Throughout his career, O'Reilly has played for various teams including Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He joined his current team, the Nashville Predators, before the 2023-24 season commenced.
