The Vancouver Canucks are a Canadian professional ice hockey team based in Vancouver, playing in the NHL’s Western Conference. Since their debut in 1970, the Canucks have reached the Stanley Cup finals three times (1982, 1994, 2011), but have yet to secure a championship.

The Canucks struggled in their early years, finishing at the bottom of their division before capturing their first division title in the 1974–75 season. Their first Stanley Cup finals appearance came in 1982, but they were swept by the New York Islanders. Another memorable run occurred in 1994, when Vancouver, led by Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure, pushed the New York Rangers to a Game 7 in the finals but ultimately fell short.

In the 2000s, Vancouver enjoyed consistent success, winning four division titles and regularly reaching the playoffs. Their best opportunity for a Stanley Cup came in the 2010–11 season when they captured the Presidents' Trophy for the NHL’s best record and advanced to the finals, where they lost to the Boston Bruins in seven games.
