The Vegas Golden Knights, one of the newest members of the National Hockey League (NHL), have already cemented their place as one of the most competitive NHL teams to have ecer existed. Notably, in just seven seasons of play, they have qualified for the playoffs six times. The only time they missed out was during the 2021-22 season. Moreover, they are the current holders of the Stanley Cup and will be aiming to win it for a second time in a row in the 2024. Presently led by manager Bruce Cassidy and captain Mark Stone, the Vegas Golden Knights also have minor league affiliations with the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League (AHL) and with the Savannah Ghost Pirates of the ECHL. Furthermore, T-Mobile arena has been serving as their home arena since their formation.

Game 2 of the series took place on 25 April, 2024, where the Golden Knights again defeated the Dallas Stars. With a score of 3-1 this time around, the Vegas Golden Knights took a commanding 2-0 series lead.
