The Las Vegas Aces began the 2025 WNBA season, their 29th overall but fourth under head coach Becky Hammon. They started the year on May 17 with a 92–78 road defeat to the reigning champions, New York Liberty, according to the WNBA official website.

The reigning MVP, A'ja Wilson, continues to be a dominant force for the Aces. During the offseason, the team made several major roster changes. They traded All-Star guard Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks and picked up six-time All-Star Jewell Loyd from the Seattle Storm. They also picked up veteran forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus and guard Dana Evans. In the draft, they selected Aaliyah Nye and Harmoni Turner. The Las Vegas Aces kicked off the 2025 WNBA season with two away games. The Las Vegas Aces started their season on May 17, losing 92–78 to the defending champions, the New York Liberty.
