Nyadiew Puoch is an Australian basketball player currently playing as a forward for the Southside Flyers in the Women's National Basketball League. With a passion for basketball starting at the age of 12, Puoch quickly made her name in domestic competitions and elite programs.

Her skills on the court led to her selection for the Australian Gems in the 2021 FIBA Under-19 Women’s World Cup, representing Victoria at national carnivals, and earning a scholarship to the AIS Centre of Excellence.

As a forward for the Southside Flyers in the WNBL, Puoch has made acclaim and recognition as a runner-up for Sixth Woman of the Year in her debut season. She was drafted by the WNBA's Atlanta Dream as the 12th overall pick of the first round in the 2024 WNBA draft.

Nyadiew Puoch, after completing her high school education, furthered her studies by attending the Australian Institute of Sport in Bruce, Australia. She didn’t attend any college or university and she was awarded a two-year scholarship to be a part of the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) Centre of Excellence program because of her sport excellence.

This scholarship not only provided her with the opportunity to receive top-tier training and development in basketball but also allowed her to interact and learn about the sport.

The AIS is known for its commitment to nurturing young athletes and assisting them in reaching their full potential in their chosen sports. It is a hub for excellence and innovation in sports training and development.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Nyadiew Puoch also earned a contract to play for the Southside Flyers, a professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. The Flyers compete in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL).
