Windham Lawrence Rotunda, popularly known as Bray Wyatt was an American Professional Wrestler. He is known for his time in WWE, where he was the two time Universal Champion, one time WWE Champion, one time Raw Tag Team Champion and one time SmackDown Tag Team Champion. He is known for his mind games and creative storytelling inside the feud.

Rotunda started his professional wrestling career in 2009 and made his debut at the WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. He used the name Alex Rotundo on his television debut and later changed it to Duke Rotundo.

After WWE launched NXT, Rotundo changed his name to Husky Harris and participated in the second season of NXT as a Rookie with Cody Rhodes as his pro. Harris ended the season in the last four and got eliminated. However he appeared in the finals with fellow eliminated Rookies and attacked the winner, Kaval.

In October 2010, when John Cena and Wade Barret of Nexus fought at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Harris and McGillicutty interfered and cost the match for Cena and made Wade Barrett win. The following night on Raw, Barrett inducted both into the Nexus.

The Nexus was brought to the control of CM Punk and renamed to The New Nexus. When CM Punk feuded with Orton, Harris was “Punt kicked” in the face and was taken off from the television to move him back to FCW.

After spending two years in FCW, Rotundo was repackaged as Bray Wyatt and re-debuted in the NXT brand. He suffered a pectoral tear and was unable to compete, however he continued to appear on the screen and started a faction called The Wyatt Family with Luke Harper and Eric Rowan.

The Wyatt Family then made their main roster debut on Raw and attacked Kane. Their assault continued as they kept attacking other wrestlers and sending a crypting message “Follow the Buzzards”. The Wyatt Family then became one of the successful factions in WWE. Bray then aligned with Broken Matt Hardy, but was disbanded and released in 2018 as Hardy went on an injury and WWE’s disagreement to their creative pitches.

In 2019, Wyatt returned to WWE in a whole new gimmick with the Firefly Funhouse character with puppets and an Alter Ego “The Fiend”. The Fiend became one of the dangerous gimmicks in WWE, with terrifying masks and supernatural powers. He began assaulting co-wrestlers and veterans with blind attacks. He added Alexa Bliss to the storyline as the Sister Abigail, but it backfired when she turned on him at WrestleMania to cost him the match against Randy Orton. Wyatt then got released from WWE in 2021.

In 2022, Wyatt returned at the Extreme Rule pay-per-view with all the Firefly Funhouse characters in the audience area. He returned with yet another gimmick with Uncle Howdy, but soon went off television due to illness. Wyatt was then reported to be dead on August 24, 2023 in an unexpected way at the age of 36.
