Dylan Morris is a professional football player of the Junior class and number five of the Washington Huskies. He plays the position of quarterback for the team. Morris is currently attending the University of Washington.


He is a native of Puyallup, Washington, and attended the Graham-Kapowsin High School located in Pierce County, Washington, United States. He started his professional football career at the University of Washington in 2019. He stands at six feet which is approximately 1.83 meters. Morris weighs about 197 pounds which is approximately 89 kgs.


In 2023, Morris threw a 31-yard touchdown pass in the UW's season-opening win over Boise State and won the Husky Fever 12th Man Award and the Husky Starving Champion Award. During the 2022 season, he played in seven games, completing 3-of-5 passes for 48 yards in the season opener and winning the 101 Club Academic Award.


In 2021, Morris started 11 of the 12 games at quarterback, earning career highs in various statistics and leading the team to several wins. His 2020 season was marked by All-Pac-12 honorable mention, and he started all four games, earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors twice. In 2019, he redshirted and was named the Bob Jarvis Offensive Scout Squad MVP.

Dylan Morris’s High School Career

During his high school career, Morris showcased remarkable skills on the football field, amassing impressive statistics with 9,815 passing yards and 99 touchdowns on 636 completions out of 1,021 attempts. Leading Graham-Kapowsin to the state playoffs four times, he achieved a notable 40-7 record. He accepted an invitation to participate in the Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl in Mexico City. Morris concluded his first year’s career ranking seventh all-time in Washington in passing yards, just ahead of his future Washington teammate, Jacob Eason.


In his senior year, Morris earned recognition as the 4A South Puget Sound League co-offensive player of the year and Tacoma News Tribune All-Area honoree. He was instrumental in the Eagles' success. He had contributed to a 10-2 record and led them to the quarterfinals of the Washington 4A state playoffs. He had also received the distinction of being one of seven seniors from the Pacific Northwest and was named a "Northwest Nugget" by the News-Tribune.


During his junior season, he completed 173 of 291 passes for 2,571 yards and 28 touchdowns. Morris was recognized as the 4A SPSL offensive player of the year. He had also garnered accolades as a Tacoma News Tribune all-area and all-state selection. In 2018, he further solidified his standing by being named an Elite 11 QB and he had also participated in Nike's The Opening Finals during the summer.


During his junior year in 2017, he earned the title of 4A SPSL offensive player of the year, Tacoma News Tribune all-area, and all-state pick. He also threw for 3,086 yards and 31 touchdowns during that season. He guided the Eagles to a 10-2 record and the quarterfinals of the 4A state playoffs.


Morris was ranked highly by various recruiting services. He was listed by 247Sports as the No. 220 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 5 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Washington. Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 176 overall prospect and No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the nation. He was also the No. 1 recruit in Washington. ESPN.com also recognized his talent and rated him as the No. 1 player in the state, the No. 6 "pocket passer" in the country, and the No. 115 overall recruit in America. He was a member of the PrepStar Top 150 Dream Team (116th), and he played under the guidance of coach Eric Kurle.
