How the cards work

Cards offer a strategy for each battle; they are your general skills when fighting, and each ability has a different point cost for its use, so balancing your deck is critical. Upgrading and equipping cards that work well together unlock your full fighting power.

How movement works

Tap on a movement card to transfer your Witch or Wizard to that spot on the board. Repositioning is limited by the number of movement cards you hold, so plan!

Card types

Cards are categorised into rarity (from highest to lowest): Legendary, Epic, Rare, and Common. The rarer the card, the more potent it is.

Acquiring and upgrading cards

Cards are unlocked by completing Yearbook entries (story), opening Flying Car rewards, and participating in Magical Studies (using keys and Gems in a gacha system).

Collecting cards with Magical Studies

Another method for ensuring cards is to use keys to start a draw in Basic and Advanced Studies. Higher rarity card rates are modest, but collecting enough draws guarantees a Legendary card after 20 pulls (Advanced Studies). After 30 draws, fundamental research will only yield a Rare card.

Switching and customising decks

You can construct and tailor many decks to the material you want to publish. Essentially, you'll wish for decks in PvP and PvE; this will need testing to see which cards work best in which situations.

Once you've unlocked more cards, choosing which decks better suit PvP vs PvE will be easier.

Can players customise their playable characters?

Yes, gamers may personalise their characters. Attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is essential in the game. Following a sequence of cutscenes, you may build and personalise your character. Options become available after attending Hogwarts and visiting Diagon Alley during holidays.

Players can follow the simple steps below to create their character.

1. Enter your character's name.

2. Select your gender, male (wizard) or female (witch).

3. Customise your face: skin tone, facial features - including freckles, glasses.

4. Choose your hair colour, hairstyle, makeup style, and accessories.

5. Pick your scarf and coat (4 choices).

Class participation

Your efforts as a diligent wizard/witch are rewarded. Class participation points are required to get Yearbook advancement and daily chores. Mini-games include rhythm games in the Social Club (rhythm game), a Harry Potter-themed quiz during History of Magic, and a tower defence game in Creature Care. Some lessons are limited during school, so be aware when you play (see Class Schedule for your first year)!

Class Schedule

You'll be seated with your NPC (non-playable character) classmates when you arrive in class. Still, once you've become used to the overall gameplay cycle, you'll use the matchmaking queue to join other players.

Daily missions

Tapping on Homework displays your daily and weekly missions list. Completing these objectives earns you gold. Otherwise, explore Hogwarts to locate treasures hidden across the grounds and buildings; new chests respawn regularly.

Story-mode

Your Yearbook shows where you are in the plot. Each year's record contains a tale section that must be completed to earn prizes (cards, gold, and gems). This is the most reliable method of obtaining Epic and Legendary cards.

PvP/duelling

PvP (1-v-1 or 2-v-2) or duelling players play a pivotal role in this game. Spend time collecting cards, creating a decent deck, and synthesising potions to prepare.
