Jihaad Campbell is an American football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. The Eagles grabbed him in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft with the 31st overall pick. Campbell played college football for the University of Alabama at the collegiate level. Following the 2024 season, he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft via a post on his official Instagram account, @j1camp, on January 2, 2025. Campbell began his football career at Timber Creek High School in Erial, New Jersey. He later transferred to IMG Academy for his senior year, where he played both wide receiver and defensive end. He was rated a five-star recruit by On3, 247Sports, and Rivals.
After high school, Campbell committed to playing college football at Alabama, appearing in 35 games over his college career. He totaled 184 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions for 26 yards. In 2024, he earned First-team All-SEC honors and was named a Second-Team All-American by the FWAA.
