Brandon Holt is an American professional tennis player who achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 180 in May 2023. He is currently ranked No. 244 by the ATP. He is the son of Tracy Austin, a former WTA world No. 1 player.

Holt has had a great year on the ITF World Tennis Tour in 2022. He won five ITF titles, including an incredible 15-match win streak in Cancun, setting the tone for the remainder of the season.

2022 was Holt’s breakthrough year as he qualified for the US Open in his first attempt, where he astonishingly defeated current No. 9 and fellow American Taylor Fritz in the first round. Holt also qualified for the 2023 Australian Open, where he lost to Roberto Bautista Agut in the second round.

Brandon Holt’s High School

Brandon Holt went to Palos Verdes High School in Rolling Hills Estates, California. He was ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the nation as a senior and won the CIF Southern Section Individual Championship. He also won Southern California Sectionals in singles and doubles in 18s.

After high school, Holt played college tennis at the University of Southern California. He was named an All-American athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for three successive seasons.

Holt turned professional in 2020 and has since made significant progress. Currently ranked No. 244 in singles, Holt is still young and has the required work ethic and dedication to take his game to the next level.

How old is Brandon Holt?

Brandon Holt was born on April 6, 1998 and is 25 years old. He has consistently credited his mother, Tracy Austin, 1981 US Open champion, for always supporting him in his tennis career.

After his first round win over Taylor Fritz at the 2022 US Open, Holt said this about his mother — “She’s an unbelievable competitor. I think just watching her do day-to-day things, it’s kind of 100 per cent or nothing. I’ve never seen her give anything less than 100 per cent and it’s always that way, whether she’s doing things for her family — it seems like her favourite thing to do because she’s always there for us.”
