She achieved her career-high singles ranking of No. 41 in October 2023. In doubles, she achieved her career-high ranking of No. 9 in August 2024. She has won two doubles titles in her career so far. She has also won 18 titles on the ITF Women's circuit, including eight in singles and 10 in doubles.

Dolehide began playing tennis at the age of five. As a junior, she made the final of the 2015 French Open and 2016 US Open in doubles. She made her WTA tour debut in 2017 at the Stanford Classic, winning her first WTA tour-level match against Naomi Osaka. Dolehide's record in Grand Slam is pretty impressive, she has made at least the quarterfinals of all four Grand Slams. She has made the semifinals of the Wimbledon thrice, the US Open twice, and the French Open once. She also made the quarterfinals of the Australian Open three times in doubles.
