Alex Wennberg is a professional ice hockey player playing as a centre for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League (NHL), after joining them in a recent trade between them and his previous team, Seattle Kraken.

Notably, Alex Wennberg was selected 14th overall by the Blue Jackets in the 2013 NHL Draft and began his professional journey with Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League. With Frolunda, he earned recognition as a Rookie of the Year finalist. He later transitioned to the NHL after agreeing to a three-year contract with Blue Jackets in 2014 and made his debut that same year.
