Filip Chytil is a professional ice hockey center, playing for the Vancouver Canucks, as of February 2025. The native of Kroměříž, Czech Republic, was born on September 5, 1999. Chytil was selected 21st overall in the first round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. He began his professional career with PSG Zlín in the Czech Extraliga where his performance caught the attention of NHL scouts.

After his selection, Chytil made his NHL debut in the 2017-2018 season. He initially played two seasons in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack to gain experience before professional play. He scored his first NHL goal on March 30, 2018, against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the 2021-2022 NHL playoffs, he played 20 games and recorded 7 goals. Chytil has also represented the Czech Republic on various international stages, including winning a gold medal at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup with the under-18 team.
