Miles Wood is an American professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL as of 2025. Born on September 13, 1995, in Buffalo, New York, he grew up in Manchester, Massachusetts. Miles Wood began his hockey journey at a young age and participated in the 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. The New Jersey Devils selected Wood in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft while he was playing at the Noble and Greenough School.

After completing his prep school education, Miles played one season at Boston College before signing a three-year entry-level contract with the Devils in 2016. He made his NHL debut shortly after and quickly made a name for himself, scoring his first NHL goal in November 2016. His breakout season came in 2017-18 when he achieved career highs in points and played in his first NHL playoff game. After eight seasons with the Devils, Miles signed a six-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche in July 2023.
