Miro Heiskanen is a Finnish defenseman who plays for the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted third overall by the Stars in the 2017 NHL draft. He was named to both the NHL All-Star Game and NHL All-Rookie Team in 2019. He tallied 26 points, the most by a defenseman in the postseason since 1994, in the Stars' Stanley Cup Final run in 2020.

Before joining the Stars, Heiskanen started his professional career with Finnish team HIFK. After penning a three-year, entry-level contract with the Stars, he stayed with HIFK on loan in the 2017-18 season. He has received several accolades, including the Pekka Rautakallio trophy for the best defenseman in the Liiga in 2018. He was also named to the WJC18 All-Star Team and was also declared as the WJC19 Best Defenseman in 2017 while representing his national team.
