The St. Louis Blues is a professional ice hockey team, based in St. Louis, Missouri. They compete in the NHL as a part of the Central Division in the Western Conference. The Blues were one of the six expansion teams of the NHL, founded in 1967. They host their home games the Enterprise Center with a seating capacity of over 18,000 fans in downtown St. Louis. They have struggled in the playoffs, including losing three Stanley Cup Finals in their early years.

The Blues won their first Stanley Cup in 2019 after 52 years of competing in the league, making them the last expansion 1967 expansion team to capture the championship. They have two minor league affiliates in the ECHl and AHL named Florida Everblades and Springfield Thunderbirds, respectively.

The St. Louis Blues are owned by SLB Acquisition Holdings LLC, with Tom Stillman holding the major stake in the Company and serving as the chairman and governor. Stillman, an American businessman and former minority owner of the Blues, led a group of local investors that purchased the team in 2012.

Stillman is also chairman and CEO of Summit Distributing, a St. Louis-based beer distributor. He entered the beer business in 1994 with the acquisition of a local wholesaler. The owner of the St. Louis Blues is a former lawyer who worked from 1988 to 1993, with the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C. as a chief counsel for export administration. Before that, he was with the New York law firm Dewey, Ballantine, Bushby, Palmer & Wood, working from the firm’s New York and Washington offices from 1978 to 1988.

Mr. Stillman was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1978.

He serves on the boards of the St. Louis Blues 14 Fund, Commerce Bank (St. Louis Region), the St. Louis Sports Commission, Logos School, and the Nature Conservancy in Missouri as per WashU.
