Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager

Julien BriseBois was named the eighth general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning on September 11, 2018, according to the Syracuse Crunch. He led the team to back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 2020 and 2021, becoming the second GM in franchise history to win the Cup. BriseBois manages all hockey operations, including coaching and scouting, player development, contract negotiations, and minor league affiliations.

Before becoming GM, BriseBois spent eight years as assistant general manager under Steve Yzerman. He was also GM for the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals and Syracuse Crunch, where his teams reached three Calder Cup Finals and won in 2012. Previously, he worked for the Montreal Canadiens in roles including director of legal affairs and GM of the Hamilton Bulldogs, winning the Calder Cup in 2007.
