William Nylander is a professional ice hockey right winger for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. After signing a three-year entry-level contract in 2014, he played for MoDo Hockey in the SHL and then joined the Toronto Marlies in 2015.

Nylander made his NHL debut in February 2016 and became a full-time Maple Leafs player in the 2016–17 season, helping the team reach the playoffs. In December 2018, Nylander signed a six-year, $45 million contract after a brief holdout. He set a career high with 31 goals in 2019–20. On January 8, 2024, he signed an eight-year, $92 million extension and was named to the 2024 NHL All-Star Game.
