The two-time WNBA MVP, Breanna Stewart plays for the New York Liberty and has made an enormous impact on the franchise in only two seasons. She became the first player in franchise history to win the MVP award after winning the 2023 WNBA MVP. She then led the Liberty to the best record in the 2024 WNBA season. She has also won the MVP with the Seattle Storm in 2018 and two Final MVPs with them. The forward also represented Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics with teammate Sabrina Ionescu and won her third consecutive Olympic Gold medal, after winning it in 2016 Rio de Janeiro and 2020 Tokyo.

In addition to her WNBA dominance, Breanna Stewart has played internationally in multiple countries and earned numerous accolades abroad. Stewart began her overseas career in China, playing for Shanghai Baoshan Dahua from 2016 to 2018. She then moved to Europe, where she played for Dynamo Kursk in 2018–2019 where she suffered an unfortunate leg Achilles injury. Later, she had a highly successful stint with UMMC Ekaterinburg from 2020 to 2022 in Russia. She wrapped up her European journey with Fenerbahçe SK in 2022–2023. During her time in Europe, Stewart won several prestigious honors, including being a 2-time EuroLeague champion in 2021 and 2023. She was also named EuroLeague Regular Season MVP in 2019, and won EuroLeague Final Four MVP twice, in 2021 and 2023, cementing her status as one of the best players in the world. In addition to her international play, Breanna Stewart continues to innovate and expand her impact on the sport. On July 9, 2024, she was formally announced as a participant in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, a new 3x3 basketball league she co-founded with fellow WNBA star Napheesa Collier in July 2023.

Breanna Stewart played for the University of Connecticut. In her freshman season, despite playing off the bench, Stewart averaged 13.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.1 blocks, shooting 50.8% from the field. Her performance in the National Final against Louisville earned her nationwide recognition, recording 23 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.

After being inserted as a starter, Stewart dominated her sophomore year. She scored the most points, and blocks and grabbed the most offensive rebounds for the Huskies. She completed the college treble, winning the AAC Regular Season, conference tournament, and the NCAA title. She averaged 19.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.8 blocks, shooting 49.7% from the field.

In her junior and senior years, Stewart led the team in points and rebounds in both seasons and laid the foundation for a historical basketball program. She ended her college basketball career with a clinical two-way performance against Syracuse in the National Final, winning the fourth consecutive NCAA championship. Overall, Breanna Stewart won four consecutive NCAA championships (2013-2016), only one of two teams to win four consecutive NCAA championships. She was a dominant force on the court earning numerous accolades, winning the Most Outstanding Player four consecutive times (2013-2016) and a three-time consensus First-team All-AAC (2014-2016).
