Born on January 22, 2002, Caitlin Clark has established herself as one of the greatest point guards in the contemporary period of basketball. Clark, one of the most well-liked female athletes in the US, was selected as the first overall choice in the 2024 WNBA draft. Clark became the first women's player to top Division I in points and assists in a single season as a sophomore and was unanimously selected to the first team of the American Football Association. She led Iowa to its first national championship game in her junior year, when she was named the national player of the year. She also set Big Ten single-season records in points and assists and once again led Division I in assists.

She helped lead Iowa back to the national championship game as a senior and won national player of the year twice. In addition, she led the country in points and assists, broke the conference record in assists, and established the Division I women's career and single-season records in points and three-pointers.
