Jordin Canada is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. At 5 ft 6 in, Jordin Canada is a point guard and she was selected with the 5th overall pick in the first round of the 2018 WNBA draft by Seattle Storm. In her WNBA career, Canada has made close to 200 appearances and won two WNBA Championships with the Seattle Storm in 2018 and 2020. In the 2018 WNBA finals against Washington Mystics, Jordin Canada mostly played off the bench behind stars like Sue Bird and Jewell Loyd, averaging only 2.7 points per game in just 34 minutes of action in 3 games. However, in the 2020 WNBA finals, Canada was a crucial rotational piece of Storm's bench unit as she averaged 9.3 points off the bench and helped Seattle Storm beat Las Vegas Aces.

In February 2022, Canada signed with the Los Angeles Sparks as a free agent, playing two seasons with the team. In the 2023 season, she was the runner-up for the WNBA Most Improved Player award. On February 1, 2024, she was traded to the Atlanta Dream along with the 12th pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft in exchange for Aari McDonald and the 8th pick. As of 2025, Canada is competing in the Unrivaled 3x3 league, playing for Vinyl BC. Canada was also a member of the basketball Under-16 national team in 2011, where she won gold. She also won the 2015 World University Games.

Jordin Canada played college basketball for the University of California, Los Angeles, and joined the UCLA Bruins women’s basketball team under the long-term head coach Cori Close.

In her freshman season, Canada became the starting point guard and made 34 appearances. She averaged 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The Bruins were invited to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). She recorded 31 points, two rebounds, two assists and four steals in the finals against West Virginia and led them to their first and only WNIT title in their history. She was named the 2015 WNIT Most Valuable Player.

In her sophomore season, Canada averaged 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. She finished fifth in scoring (549), second in assists (193) and first in steals (79) in the Pac-12 conference and made the All-Pac-12 and the Pac-12 All-Defensive team.

In her junior year, Canada averaged 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.5 steals per game. She finished third in scoring (606), first in assists (242) and steals (85) in the Pac-12 conference and made the All-Pac-12 and the Pac-12 All-Defensive team.

In her senior year, Canada averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 3.3 steals per game. She finished third in scoring (596), first in assists (248) and steals (114) in the Pac-12 conference and made the All-Pac-12 and the Pac-12 All-Defensive team. She was also named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and made her first AP All-America appearance (third team).

In her NCAA career, Canada made one Elite-Eight appearance and two Sweet-Sixteen appearances with the Bruins. She averaged 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game in the National Tournament. She also had four consecutive double-doubles of points and assists with three of them coming in her junior year and one in senior year. She made two NCAA Tournament All-Region teams in her career.

Canada was one of the best point guards in UCLA’s history and holds the top two positions for most assists in a season with 248 (2016-17) and 242 (2017-18). She is one of three players in UCLA women’s basketball history to score 600+ points in a single season (2016-17). She also ranks second in steals in a season, falling one short of Lisa Willis' record of 115 steals in a season.

She ended her career with 2153 points, 557 rebounds, 831 assists and 347 steals and became the only player with 800+ assists in the all-time history. She is also one of three players to score 2000+ points in history and demonstrated a perfect point-guard combo of scoring and assisting.
