Karlie Samuelson is an American-British professional basketball player, known for her 3-point sharpshooting skills. She plays as a shooting guard for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA and Çukurova Basketbol in Turkey's Women's Basketball Super League. Despite going undrafted in the 2017 WNBA Draft, Samuelson built a strong career both in the USA and internationally. Over the years, she has played in several countries, including Turkey, Australia, England, Belgium, Italy and Spain.

Samuelson represents the Great Britain women's national basketball team internationally, using her mother's nationality. She made her Team GB debut in February 2018 during the EuroBasket Women 2019 qualifiers, where she played a key role in helping Great Britain secure a spot in the tournament.

Karlie Samuelson had an impressive college basketball career at Stanford, where she became known for her elite 3-point shooting accuracy and leadership on the court. As a Freshman in the 2013-14 collegiate season, Samuelson earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention. In sophomore season, Samuelson earned a Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.

The Junior year season in 2015-16 was a turning point for Karlie, as she earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and was named team captain. In Stanford's Sweet 16 upset of top-seeded Notre Dame, Karlie scored 20 points, going 5-of-6 from three-point range. In the final year of Karlie’s college career, she earned Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention and WBCA All-Region honors. She tied a Stanford record with 1,274 minutes played and finished her career with the best 3-point shooting percentage for any Pac-12 player since 1990. She was especially dominant in the NCAA Tournament, shooting 56.6% from three-point range over her junior and senior tournaments. Her career shooting percentages were remarkable: 45.4% from the field (368-of-811), 44.3% from three (249-of-562), and 83.3% from the line (179-of-215). Overall, Karlie Samuelson's time at Stanford makes her one of the most decorated jump shooters in college history
