Sarah Ashlee Barker is a professional women's basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks. The 2001-born guard was drafted by the L.A Sparks as the ninth overall pick in the first round of the 2025 WNBA draft. The Birmingham(Alabama) born guard attended Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. Barker scored more than 2,000 points and collected over 1,000 rebounds during her high school career. Barker was honored as the Class 7A Tournament MVP in 2020.
After her high school, Barker started her collegiate career with the Georgia Bulldogs Women's basketball team and averaged 5.1 points along with 2.7 boards per outing. She was instrumental for Georgia and also made some clutch plays that year, including the go-ahead shot with less than three minutes left in an overtime win against the Techs. After her second year with the Bulldogs, Barker transferred to the University of Alabama and played three seasons for the Alabama Crimson Tide Women's basketball team.
