Delhi Capitals Schedule IPL 2024 Details

The IPL 2024 schedule for the Delhi Capitals (DC) has just been unveiled, sparking excitement among cricket fans. This marks the lineup of matches for the team in the upcoming IPL 2024 season.

One major change for Delhi Capitals this season would be their new home stadium at IPL 2024. Due to the fact that the Arun Jaitley Stadium will not be able to get ready by the time IPL 2024 kickstarts, Delhi Capitals will be hosting their first two games at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag (Visakhapatnam).

The Capitals will begin their IPL 2024 matches schedule against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 23. It will be Match 2 of the IPL 2024 season and will be played at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The clash between PBKS and DC will also be the first-day fixture of the season.

Delhi Capitals (DC) will then fly to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, where they will lock horns against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 28.

Delhi will then host their next two fixtures at their newly adopted home in Vizag. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be the two franchises who will travel to Vizag to meet DC. While CSK will play on 31st March, Kolkata will lock horns against Delhi Capitals on 3rd April.

As per the Delhi Capitals IPL 2024 schedule, they will play their fifth clash against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on 7th April.

Their home fixtures will take place on March 31 (vs. CSK in Vizag), April 03 (vs. KKR in Vizag), April 20 (vs. SRH), April 24 (vs. GT), April 27 (vs. MI), May 07 (vs. RR), and May 14 (vs. LSG).

The remaining away fixtures, meanwhile, will be staged on April 12 (vs. LSG), April 16 (vs. GT), April 29 (vs. KKR), and May 12 (vs. RCB).

DC IPL 2024 Squad Details

Delhi Capitals will see a welcome return of Rishabh Pant for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The Indian southpaw missed out the entire IPL 2023 campaign after a horrific car accident he faced in December 2022.

David Warner, who is still with the Delhi team, captained the DC franchise last season, where the franchise finished ninth on the IPL points table. Much to the excitement of the fans, Pant is likely to skipper the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 but will only play as a batter and might not keep wickets throughout the tournament.

Apart from Rishabh Pant and David Warner, Delhi Capitals have a formidable lineup, with the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Harry Brook, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel in the IPL 2024 squad.

DC retained 16 players ahead of the IPL 2024 players auction and bought nine new players at the event. Kumar Kushagra, a Jharkhand-born wicket-keeper, turned out to be the costliest buy for Delhi Capitals at the IPL 2024 mini-auction as they purchased the 18-year-old for ₹7.20 crore.

Harry Brook, Shai Hope, Tristan Stubbs, Jhye Richardson, Sumit Kumar, Swastik Chikara, Ricky Bhui, and Rasikh Dar Salam were the other buys at the auction.
