Adisa Isaac, born on October 4, 2001, was a product of Canarsie High School in Canarsie, Brooklyn. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound was the team captain in three of his four seasons with Canarsie. During his high school days, Isaac was the top-ranked player in the 2019 class and also a consensus four-star recruit. In his senior season, Isaac racked up 88 tackles, 34 tackles for loss and 25 sacks and claimed the All-USA New York Defensive Player of the Year award.
Isaac started his collegiate football journey with Penn State over offers from Alabama, Texas M&M, Auburn, Miami and Michigan. As a freshman in 2019, Isaac made his debut on the opening day against Idaho. In his true freshman season, the Brooklyn native appeared in 11 of Penn State’s 13 games racking up 132 snaps across 10 games and eight tackles, four assists and eight stops.
His sophomore season was identical to his freshman campaign as he only appeared in nine games, ending the season with 13 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries. The redshirt sophomore defensive end missed the entire 2021 season with an Achilles injury.
In 2022, Isaac broke out in his junior season and started all 13 games for Penn State and earned All-Big Ten Third Team honours. He recorded 28 tackles, 11 tackles for loss (team-high), four sacks, and eight quarterback hurries. Isaac was named Penn State’s Reid Robinson Outstanding Defensive Lineman Award winner alongside Chop Robinson.
Isaac continued his momentum in his senior season for Penn State. He established himself as one of the highest-graded defensive ends in college football with increased playing time. In 2023, Isaac started all 10 games at the defensive end and totaled 16 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and 31 total pressures.
In five seasons including his medical redshirt 2021 season and 46 total games for the Nittany Lions, Isaac racked up 92 total tackles, including 31.5 for loss and 14.5 sacks, declaring himself for the 2024 NFL Draft.
