Macklin Celebrini Ethnicity

Macklin Celebrini, born on June 13, 2006, is a Canadian college ice hockey center playing for the Boston University Terriers in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Celebrini achieved fame when he won the Hobey Baker Award at the age of 17, thereby becoming the youngest player to have ever won the award. Moreover, at the time he also became the fourth freshman, following Paul Kariya, Jack Eichel, Adam Fantilli to win this award. Due to these performances, Celebrini is widely projected to be selected first overall by the San Jose Sharks.

Prior to joining Boston University, Celebrini spent time with the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League (USHL) in the 2022-23 season, where he scored 46 goals and recorded 40 assists. In the process, he climbed the top of the USHL leaderboard that season and his tally of 86 points was the most-ever by an under-17 player. Lastly, he was named as the Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and Rookie of the year. He also made the All-USHL and All-Rookie First Teams that season.

Macklin Celebrini is a Canadian national and has represented Canada on the international stage.

Celebrini made his international debut for Canada with the under-17 team at the 2022 World U-17 Hockey Challenge. The following year, he was selected for the national under-18 team for the 2023 IIHF World U18 Championships. Team Canada reached the bronze medal match, where Celebrini scored the decisive goal in overtime against Slovakia to secure the medal.

Macklin Celebrini was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to father Rick and Robyn Celebrini on June 13, 2006. Growing up he was a big fan of the Vancouver Canucks with his father serving the Canucks as a physiotherapist. Notably, it was their that Celebrini alongside his older brother Aiden, developed their passion for hockey.
