Italian tennis sensation Jasmine Paolini is a skilled singles and doubles player who is ranked No. 7 and No. 6 in singles and doubles, respectively, as of March 2025. With her commendable performances, she became the only male or female player to achieve the top 10 ranking in singles and doubles. She became the only women's tennis player to qualify in singles and doubles for the 2024 WTA Finals. Paolini finished runner-up at the 2024 French Open and the 2024 Wimbledon Open in singles. In addition, she finished runner-up at the French Open in the doubles category with Sara Errani.

She has won two singles titles, including her maiden WTA 1000 title at the Dubai Tennis Championship. Teaming up with Errani, Paolini won six doubles titles, including the 2024 China Open and the 2024 Italian Open. Paolini won another WTA 1000 title in doubles at the 2025 Qatar Open with Errani, where they defeated Jiang Xinyu and Wu Fang-Hsien by 7-5, 7-6. She advanced to the semifinal of the 2025 Miami Open, where she will be facing Aryna Sabalenka. Making her debut at the 2024 Wuhan Open, she reached the quarterfinals in singles, where she lost to Zheng Qinwen. Known for her aggressive playing style, she hits powerful groundstrokes with great agility and speed. She is the only active player, male or female, to have achieved a top 10 ranking in both singles and doubles. Paolini became the only women player to qualify for the 2024 WTA Finals in the singles and doubles categories.

Paolini won her maiden Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Sara Errani in the women's doubles category. They defeated the neutral athlete team of Diana Shnaider and Mirra Andreeva by 2-6, 6-1[10-7]. Paolini and Errani created history for their country, Italy, by winning the first gold medal.

In the singles category, she made an early exit in the third round after losing to Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.
