Since turning professional in 2018, Sebastian Baez has won six ATP singles titles till date, including his first ATP 500 title in 2024. He achieved his career-high singles ranking of No. 18 in June 2024.

With his aggressive playing style, he lifted his first ATP 500 title at the Rio Open, defeating Mariano Navone in the final. His powerpack performance continued, and within a week, he won his sixth ATP title at the 2024 Chile Open, defeating Alejandro Tabilo in the final. He reached the semifinal of the 2024 Cordoba Open, the quarterfinal of the 2024 Argentina Open, and the fourth round of the 20224 Geneva Open.

Sebastian Baez won his third and fourth ATP titles as a part of his ten-match winning streak. At the 2023 Kitzbuhel Open, he defeated Dominic Thiem in straight sets in the final. He registered his best performance in a Grand Slam at the 2023 US Open, where he reached the third round and lost to eventual finalist Daniil Medvedev.

Baez came into the limelight with his performance on the junior circuit. He was the world's No. 1 junior player who reached the final at the Roland Garros boy's singles. He is also the youngest player to win five Challenger Tour titles in a single season. Baez is a right-handed player who plays under the guidance of Sebastian Gutierrez.
