Brayden Point is a Canadian ice hockey center that plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on March 12, 1996, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Point earned a spot on the Tampa Bay Lightning's opening night roster after attaining a training camp with the Lightning. He made his debut on October 13, 2016 and quickly made his impact in the league, contributing his inaugural point on October 15, 2016. Moreover, he scored his first NHL goal on November 5, 2016. Point ended his rookie season with 18 goals and 22 assists across 68 regular season games.

The following two seasons saw him post impressive numbers while earning a spot in the NHL All-Star Game in 2018. The same season, Point made his playoff debut and scored his first career hat-trick. Notably, on September 23, 2019, Point signed an extension contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning worth $20.25 million. Point went on to win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Point led the scoring charts across both the seasons and broke the most playoff goals scored in a single season for Tampa Bay Lightning. This was rewarded with an eight-year, $76 million contract extension with the team.

Internationally, Point has represented the Canadian national ice hockey team across various competitions including the World Championship, IIHF World U20 and U18 Championships.
