The Clarence S. Campbell Bowl was first awarded in 1967–68 and is presented each season to the Western Conference team that reaches the Stanley Cup Final. It was established in 1968 to honor Clarence S. Campbell, who served as NHL President from 1946 to 1977. The trophy is made of sterling silver and was crafted in 1878 by a British silversmith, as per the NHL.
