Paul Maurice is the head coach of the Florida Panthers, as of May 2025. He was named as the Panthers' head coach on June 22, 2022. In his first season with Florida, he guided the team to the Prince of Wales Trophy and their first win in a Stanley Cup Final. In 2024, Maurice led the Panthers to their first-ever Stanley Cup Championship, making back-to-back Final appearances and earning a 29–16 playoff record with the team.

Maurice also coached the Hurricanes to the 2002 Stanley Cup Final and 2009 Eastern Conference Final and the Jets to the 2018 Western Conference Final. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he became the second youngest NHL head coach when hired in 1995. He holds Winnipeg Jets franchise records for games coached (600) and wins (315) and is among the youngest to reach 1,000 and 1,500 NHL games coached. On January 24, 2024, he passed Barry Trotz for the second-most games coached in NHL history (1,813) and is one of five head coaches to reach 850 career wins.

Paul Maurice won his first Stanley Cup on June 24, 2024, as head coach of the Florida Panthers. The Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final with a 2–1 victory. Maurice had previously lost the Stanley Cup Final twice — in 2002 with the Carolina Hurricanes and in 2023 with the Panthers. Maurice led the team through a 24-game playoff run with a 16–8 record (via NHL).
