Shea Theodore Family

Shea Theodore is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman playing for the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL. Born on August 3, 1995, in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Theodore began his hockey journey with the Aldergrove Minor Hockey Association.

Selected 26th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2013 NHL Draft, he won the Stanley Cup with the Knights in 2023. Apart from the Stanley Cup, Theodore has earned awards like the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy and international gold medals with Team Canada.

Shea Theodore is the son of Cam and Corrine Theodore. Cam Theodore is a millwright specializing in repairing and assembling machinery in sawmills, as per The Athletics. Cam also introduced Shea to his love for hockey, taking him to Canucks games when tickets were available.

“They only got tickets from his boss at the sawmill, so they went once or twice a year, making each visit special.” Shea shared with the Athletics. Shea Theodore's mother, Corrine Theodore, works at a local bank and cheers him on during his games and milestones.

She is now the owner of Persistence Training Centre in Merritt, BC.

As per Wedding Style Magazine, Shea Theodore is married to Mariana Alston. The couple tied the knot in a stunning Italian garden-inspired wedding at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. The couple first met in 2015 and reconnected a year later, and married surrounded by family, friends, and their two beloved dogs in tuxedos. Mariana, originally from Calgary, described Shea as sweet, kind, and authentically himself.
