Taylor’s professional career in the National Hockey League began when he was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL Entry Draft of 2010. He made his official debut during the 2010–11 campaign when the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames in a game. He scored his first NHL goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Taylor finished his debut season, recording 22 goals and 20 assists in 65 games.


Taylor Hall spent more than 5 seasons as an Edmonton Oilers player. In 2015, he played his final season with the Oilers and was selected for his first NHL All-Star Game for the Pacific Division. Following his selection, he played three seasons with the New Jersey Devils. He also participated in games with the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, and Arizona Coyotes. He was selected for the NHL First All-Star team and earned the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2018. Taylor was selected for the NHL All-Star Game in 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
