Tyler Seguin is the alternate captain for the Dallas Stars in the NHL. Born on January 31, 1992, he started playing hockey in Whitby, Ontario, before moving to Brampton at age 10. He played for the Toronto Nationals in the GTHL alongside Jeff Skinner and attended St. Michael's College School in Toronto.

Seguin played junior hockey for the Plymouth Whalers in the OHL, winning the Red Tilson Trophy as MVP and tying for the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy in 2010. He was drafted second overall by the Boston Bruins in 2010 and won the Stanley Cup in his rookie season. He has also made six NHL All-Star Game appearances.
